7 Day Self Reflection Challenge: Day 4 What Do You Really Want (and Need)?

Welcome to Day 4 of the Self-Reflection Challenge!

Today’s all about getting real with yourself: what do you honestly want and need in your life?

You might think you already know — and maybe you do — but slowing down to really think about it can give you way more clarity than you expect.

Sometimes we chase things because someone else wants it for us… not because it’s what we actually want.

This is your chance to figure out what’s truly important to you.

What Do You REALLY Want?

Ask yourself:

What do I want?  Not what you think you’re “supposed” to want. Not what your parents, friends, teachers or work mates want for you.  What you want.  It could be anything — a dream job, better friendships, a new hobby, a whole new vibe for your life.

Knowing your real wants helps you make choices that actually make you happier — not just choices that “look good” on the outside.

What About Your Needs?

Needs are just as important!

Think about the stuff you need to feel safe, happy, and okay in life.

It could be big (like needing support from friends) or small (like needing more time to yourself).

Today’s Challenge

Write two lists:

  1. What you want in your life to feel happy.
  2. What you need right now to feel your best.

Questions to Help You Get Started

  • How often do you actually stop and think about what you want in life?
  • If you could have one of your “wants” today, what would it be?
  • What do you need to feel truly fulfilled?

Pro Tip: Be honest and dream big! Your wants and needs are yours — they don’t have to make sense to anyone else.
