How does Jera’s Jamboree collect information?

If you communicate with us via our website, email or social media pages, or sign up for newsletters or enter giveaways, we may collect personal data about you.

What information do we collect, how is it used and how long do we keep it for?

Website:

When you visit Jera’s Jamboree you have the option to consent, do not consent and manage options in relation to your personal data.  We use consent to track how you found the website (search in your browser and clicking on a link, a Pinterest pin, a link shared on social media, via our newsletter or directed to us by another website).  This information is used to  find out the pages you visit, how long you stay on a page, if you click to view other pages on the website.  No other information is collected.

Jera’s Jamboree Newsletter:

When you sign up for our newsletter, either on the website, via a giveaway/promotion or Facebook group we collect your name and email address.

You can stop receiving  the newsletter in the following ways:

  • Click the ‘unsubscribe’ link at the bottom of any email you receive
  • By email, quoting “Unsubscribe” in the subject and send to shaz-goodwin@jerasjamboree.co.uk

Your name and email address is kept for only as long as you remain subscribed (i.e. you do not unsubscribe) or if we decide to cancel the newsletter, whichever occurs first.

Giveaways:

When you enter a giveaway managed by Jera’s Jamboree by signing up to our newsletter, the same terms apply as above. If you are the winner, your personal details will be requested to enable the giveaway to be posted to you. Your personal details are not kept on file and not shared with any third-parties.

If the giveaway is not managed by Jera’s Jamboree, the third party is responsible for the terms and conditions of your entry.  The terms and conditions are displayed on all posts not managed by Jera’s Jamboree.

If you are a winner of a sponsored giveaway, your personal data will be shared with the sponsor of the giveaway so that they are able to post out the item in the giveaway to you.  Actions done to enter the giveaways will also be shared with the sponsor of the giveaway to verify.

We will retain the information for the duration of the giveaway only.

Comments:

When you comment on a post, we collect your name and email address.  This enables the filter of spam comments and is not used for any other purpose.

Who do we share your personal data with?

No information collected by Jera’s Jamboree will be sold, rented or loaned to any third parties or companies. We may disclose information if we are requested or required to do so by a regulator or law enforcement body.

How do we protect your information?

We ensure that we implement appropriate physical and computer security controls alongside organisational measures to keep your information secure, accurate and up to date and that we only keep it for as long as is necessary or for as long as the law requires.

Although we use appropriate security measures once we have received your personal information, the transmission of information over the internet is never completely secure. We cannot guarantee the security of the information transmitted to our website, and this is done at the user’s own risk.

  • Right to Restrict Processing – If you contest the accuracy or the lawfulness of our data processing, you have the right to restrict us processing the data until the issues been investigated and rectified
  • Right to Object – you may object to us processing your personal information

Verifying your identity

When you exercise one of your rights under the GDPR, we are required by law to use all reasonable measures to verify your identity before we can action the request. This will be in the form of supplying a utility bill and photographic evidence such as passport or driving licence.
