Why you need a crochet baby blanket kit

Crochet kits are a bit like grabbing a deal (3 for 2 or buy this with this and get free postage etc).

When products are grouped together it’s often cheaper than buying them separately.  And that’s what I’ve found with kits.

The price is often less than if you were to source and buy the yarn and pattern separately.  Great if you’re budgeting, plus you know exactly how the pattern and colours will look.

With prices ranging from £10.99 – £45 in this collection, there’s something to suit every budget.

For most kits you will need to additionally purchase the recommended crochet hook and have scissors and a yarn needle (used for sewing in the ends).  If a hook is in included, I’ve added the information.

You’ll notice quite a few of the kits are in bright rainbow colours, either as a border or the jewel-like colours are used throughout the blanket.

All of the patterns are different and most are suitable for beginners.  It’s good to give yourself a challenge though and if that’s you – you’ll find a kit here to suit you.

Stitches and techniques used in the baby blanket kits:

  • Double Crochet (US single crochet)
  • Treble Crochet (US double crochet)
  • Granny Square
  • Granny Stitch
  • Bobble Stitch
  • Puff Stitch
  • Ripple Stitch
  • Stripes
  • Corner to Corner (C2C)

The baby blanket kits below start from the least expensive ending with the most expensive.

It’s also worth keeping an eye on Ebay.  The kits I’ve seen range from £8.99 – £25 but you have to snap them up quickly!  Click here to browse the kits on Ebay.

I hope this guide helps you to find your next baby blanket project.  If you don’t find what you’re looking for, you might also like my crochet blanket kit for beginners collection.
