I designed this lightweight triangle shawl to wear at a summer wedding and it fit the occasion perfectly 🙂

My pattern uses one skein of James C Brett baby 4ply, giving it a soft feel and excellent stitch definition.

The triangle shape is formed by increasing at the beginning and end of each row, and the combination of double crochet and crossed double crochet stitches creates a lovely texture.

With a wingspan of 116 cm (45.75″) and a depth of 58 cm (23″), you can easily adjust the size by repeating the pattern.

This is a satisfying project that is comfortable to wear (and makes a great gift too).

2. Tendril Shawl

I love the elegance of this asymmetric shawl (and I know you will too!).

This one skein project uses fingering weight yarn.  Why not treat yourself to a more luxurious yarn?  The pattern uses 366m (there’s lots of choice hand-dyed yarns on Etsy).

The pattern features a simple 4-row repeat with double crochet, treble, and double crochet 3 together stitches. While the pattern is beginner-friendly, it does require a little focus until the increase rows are established.

After blocking, the shawl measures approximately 70 inches (178 cm) at its longest edge and 32 inches (82 cm) along the shorter side.

Watching the video tutorial while following along with the written pattern will give you confidence.
