How to put a positive spin on a murder mystery…

Meet our narrator: witty, nosy, a professional weaver of lies – aka ghostwriter for the rich
and famous – and now, lander of The Dream Assignment (that is, a politician’s tell-all
memoir).

Enter Dorothy Gibson: recently toppled Presidential C andidate, aka that woman, the most
talked-about person in the country right now… for all the wrong reasons.

Add — an invitation to the middle of nowhere, one well-heeled neighbour dying under
Suspicious C ircumstances, a secret investigation — and an unreasonably beautiful man.

The result — a story even our ghostwriter wasn’t expecting. And for once, it’s all hers…

The Busy Body Review

This story is a murder mystery involving two very different and independent women who both decide they have the knowledge and skills to find the killer.

A ghostwriter, without a name, is our main character and secures her dream job of writing for a former senator Dorothy Gibson and also being a live in writer for her, it’s a perfect job.

Once a body is found, Dorothy and her ghostwriter decide to sleuth together and use their skills of being able to recognise lies and deceit. They investigate other characters in the annoyance of the police officers until they find the truth.

I enjoyed the style with a big reveal at the end, a nice homage to Agatha Christie and Poirot.

The Busy Body is an entertaining book which is the first book in a series. Great for fans of old-fashioned murder mysteries.
