The Twins Review
I was absolutely gripped by this psychological thriller and finished too quickly.
The writing is dark, tense and twisty with well written characters.
The chapters are split between twins Margo and Cora who are vastly different. Margo is a live-in nanny for a wealthy family is shy, quiet and in need for prescription drugs for her anxiety. Cora is a popular, vivacious dancer determined to have her big break.
A terrible accident encouraged the twins to be separated from their family and predominantly with each other. A break in her drugs provides Margo with her memories slowly returning and she decides against her sister’s wishes to use a therapist and a past love and obsession to discover the truth.
I loved this captivating story of secrets, relationships and loss.
Born in 1984 in rural Essex, L.V. Matthews now lives in Hampshire with her family where she is setting up an authors’ retreat. Before pursuing a career in writing, she worked in both domestic and international sales for major UK publishing houses.
