Framed for murder. Now she’s free . . .

A woman attends a funeral, standing in the shadows and watching in agony as her sons grieve. But she is unable to comfort them – or reveal her secret.

A decade earlier, Heather gets her children ready for bed and awaits the return of her husband Liam, little realising that this is the last night they will spend together as a family. Because tomorrow she will be accused of Liam’s murder.

Ten years ago Heather lost everything. Now she will stop at nothing to clear her name – and to get her children back . . .

Book Review

As soon as I started The Mother it hooked me right in and I lost any sense of time while reading.

Heather and Liam, along with their two children are a happy family – until MP Liam is murdered shattering all their lives. To make matters worse, Heather is found guilty of his murder and subsequently goes to prison to serve time for a crime she is absolutely adamant she did not commit.

Ten years later and Heather is released. She is determined to find out exactly what happened to Liam and find whoever it is that framed her, no matter the cost. As she tries to rebuild her life and connect again with her children she has missed so much, but her determination to uncover the truth takes over.

Wow this thriller was compelling and utterly breath-taking.

It is full of twists and turns and throughout the story. I didn’t know what would happen next, which I thoroughly enjoyed!

The writing is fabulous and addictive – the amount of suspense and intrigue on each page is just so thrilling and I was rooting for Heather till the very end.

An easy five stars from me.
