One day, five lives, but whose heart will be broken by nightfall?

It started like any other day in the picturesque village of Weirbridge.

Tress Walker waved her perfect husband Max off to work, with no idea that she was about to go into labour with their first child. And completely unaware that when she tried to track Max down, he wouldn’t be where he was supposed to be.

At the same time, Max’s best friend Noah Clark said goodbye to his wife, Anya, blissfully oblivious that he would soon discover the woman he adored had been lying to him for years.

And living alongside the two couples, their recently widowed friend, Nancy Jenkins, is getting ready to meet Eddie, her first true love at a school reunion. Will Nancy have the chance to rekindle an old flame, or will she choose to stay by Tress’s side when she needs her most?

One Day with You – two fateful goodbyes, two unexpected hellos, and 24 hours that change everything.

One Day With You Review

Max, Noah and Anya have been best friends since they were young. While Noah and Anya are now married, Max has finally found happiness with Tress, who is pregnant with his baby. Noah and Anya are going through a rough patch and one day she leaves for a business trip abroad. At the same time, Max also leaves to go on a trip, with Tress going into labour soon after.

After trying to reach Max with no luck it becomes clear that something is amiss.

What happens after Noah tries to find him is nothing short of tragedy and everyone’s life is turned upside down in an instant.

Meanwhile Tress is in labour and has no idea what’s going on, with Noah deciding it’s best not to tell her what is happening. As he is a doctor at the hospital he is able to be at Tress’s side in the absence of Max.

One Day With You is a fantastic read, with lots of tear-jerking moments as well as disbelief and pity, anger and empathy.

I felt so many things reading this. Betrayal conflicts with pity, sadness with joy!

I felt sorry for Noah – he is a kind and loyal friend, and deeply in love with his wife. The events of the day shatter him but the beauty of bringing a new life into the world is a glimmer of light.

The selfish actions of two people change the course of this one day and people’s lives are changed forever. An excellent read.
