Beth has the perfect life. She has constructed it carefully over the last eighteen years. But one night she makes a choice that risks everything.
When Kat sees an article about that night online, buried memories begin to surface. She and Beth were friends once. Things ended badly then, but now she has a chance to make them right.
Kat introduces herself to Beth. Not as her old friend, but as a stranger. Beth has no idea Kat isn’t who she says she is.
But then neither is Beth.
Book Review
On the surface Beth has a wonderful life. It seems perfect. Amazing family, beautiful home. One night she makes a decision that changes the course of this life and is forced to confront everything she has kept buried. Lies upon lies. Saskia is her best friend and neighbour and she has influenced this shift in Beth’s life. She has taken a video of Beth’s deed and posted it online, meaning that it has come to the attention of Kat.
Kat is determined to find Beth and worm her way into her life again. It becomes clear that Kat and Beth have a history and she is not going to let her get away anymore. Beth doesn’t recognise Kat when she reappears in her life and this suits Kat perfectly. What exactly are Beth and Kat hiding? And will Saskia get the truth also?
My Perfect Friend is a riveting and enjoyable read with plenty of drama and suspense.
Beth is such a highly strung character and I thought her life sounded exhausting! I was eager to find out what she and Kat were hiding and the flashbacks to their previous lives were interesting and revealing.
There was plenty to keep me hooked and reading and the ending was extremely satisfying as the pieces of the puzzle slotted into place.
A fantastic read.

Author Bio:
I love reading psychological thrillers and have always dreamed of becoming an author in the genre, but I took my time getting here. After studying for a degree in Politics & International Relations, travelling the world for 6 years, and completing 5 ski seasons, I moved to London and became a copywriter, wife and mother. In 2018 I enrolled on the Faber Academy Writing a Novel course and finally learned the craft I loved. I joined HQ Digital in March 2021 and my debut novel A MOTHER NEVER LIES published later that year. Since then I have written EVERY LITTLE SECRET, and also MY PERFECT FRIEND which releases in November 2022 (although you can pre-order now!). I am currently writing my fourth thriller, which is set in a ski resort in the French Alps.
