Bridgerton colours for the three main characters
Daphne:
wears white, or other light colours. She is often shown in close proximity to white roses, as well, further linking her to the colour. Also reflects her purity and innocence. Daphne’s general colour palette – subdued, calming, and traditional – tells us that Daphne is unquestioningly good and a heroine worth rooting for.
In the beginning she is seen wearing the family colours, pale blues, silvers, and greens, which are very powdery, but as she matures and gets older, she is presented wearing duskier shades of pink, blue and silver.
Duke of Hastings:
The Duke’s first appearances show him in outfits consisting largely of black, symbolic of his dark and troubled past. His colours subtly begin to evolve as the season progresses, primarily by incorporating the colour red. Symbolic for passion and love, red is the perfect choice for the Simon as his bond with Daphne strengthens.
Penelope Featherington:
wears yellow, a colour that seems to reflect the character’s brightness and cheery nature. Yellow also reflects deceit, and envy, both of which relate to her alter ego. The youngest Featherington, she uses her considerable wit to obscure her identity, fooling her family, her truth-seeking best friend, and even the Queen’s investigators.
