My life was perfect until she came along. Norah.

Younger, prettier and about to marry my own ex-husband, they are a walking cliché.

I hate her. I hate them both.

She’s taken everything from me – my husband, my life, my home – but I refuse to allow her to take Cassie, my beautiful daughter. That’s a step too far.

Now I’ve discovered that Norah plans to have a baby of her own and that causes me no end of problems. She could destroy everything and reveal my deepest, darkest secrets.

That can never be allowed to happen.

No matter what it costs…

Book Review

At the start of The Ex Wife we see Alice is on trial for murder. It soon becomes clear what for when the story goes back six months to lead up to this point. Alice is divorced and her ex-husband Mark has a new fiancée – Norah. Feeling bitter and angry as she watches their relationship unfold, her anger increases when it comes to light that Mark and Norah want a baby.

Alice shares a teenage daughter, Cassie, with her ex, and the fact that the new couple are trying for a baby threatens to reveal Alice’s own dark secret and ruin her life! This coupled with the fact that Alice is convinced that Norah has devastating secrets herself leads to an explosive crescendo in the story and it seems Alice will stop at nothing to protect both herself and Cassie. But, would she actually commit murder?

The Ex Wife is so entertaining and I didn’t dare take my eyes off its pages!

I was utterly surprised when some of the bombshells revealed themselves and was unsure of Alice’s guilt for most of it!

Cassie was a lovely character and I could understand Alice’s desire to protect her at all costs.

The tension is huge in this story and kept me on the edge of my seat and I was not disappointed at the ending either!

A thrilling rollercoaster of a read!
