Ralph sat up. His voice was croaky. ‘If a shooting star past right now, what would you wish for?’

‘To find another friend like you.’

Leo and Ralph have been best friends ever since Ralph flew down from one of Jupiter’s moons. But now that Leo’s older, his mum and dad think it’s time to say goodbye to Ralph. When the family moves to a small town in the country, they hope Leo might finally make a real friend. But someone like Ralph is hard to leave behind…

Leo and Ralph Review

I was utterly enchanted by this sweet book about friendship and read in one sitting.

It is a beautiful story about an imaginary friend supporting a child who doesn’t feel that they fit in.

Leo loves space and just wants to play space related games. He struggles to fit in at school. His sister is the opposite and can make friends very easily. His parents therefore worry about him.

One day Ralph, from the planet Jupiter appears before Leo and they have the best friendship. Leo is happy to have this wonderful friend.

Leo and Ralph includes friendship, loss, family and moving home.

A lovely book for children in primary school as it celebrates people with differences.

I loved it!
