In Wynbridge, the scent of autumn is on the breeze and love is in the air…
Clemmie Bennett has been renovating beautiful Rowan Cottage on the outskirts of the small town of Wynbridge, for eighteen months following a very public heartbreak back in her childhood hometown. The popular Instagram influencer, lost her husband, sold their home, and has been cosied up the Fens and living a very private life, but now she feels it’s time for a change.
A chance encounter with co-owner of The Cherry Tree Café, the bubbly Lizzie Dixon, pulls her into organizing Wynbridge’s first-ever Autumn Festival, and her once quiet life is soon a distant memory. With the whole town rallying behind the event, she discovers a new sense of purpose.
And when local vet Ash falls hard for Clemmie, she begins to wonder if she’s ready to move even further on from her past and fall in love again…
All Wrapped Up Review
The Wynbridge Autumn Festival is the perfect opportunity to pull this wonderful community together, and I loved getting glimpses of the residents we’ve grown to know. Don’t worry if you haven’t read any of the previous Wynbridge stories though—you’ll still feel drawn in by the characters and enjoy this book as a standalone. If this is your first visit, I think you’ll soon want to go back and get to know everyone properly!
Clem is a fabulous addition to the Wynbridge family. It was a joy to see her stepping out from her chosen seclusion, making real friends, and slowly allowing her heart to mend. Pixie, the cutest little dog in need of love too, is so important for helping Clem balance her emotions—she’s the first change that starts to thaw Clemmie’s heart.
And then there’s thoughtful, caring Ash. What a great friend to have! I honestly feel that friendship is the best start to any partnership … and really, who could say no to a hot vet? I fell in love with him myself!
Don’t be too quick to write off one character like I was … there’s always a reason for behaviours isn’t there! Clem’s story is a pivot point.
I adored the relationship Clem has with her parents. I couldn’t help but snigger when they turned up at Rowan Cottage a day early—it was such a funny moment!
Needless to say, I loved every minute with Clem and the Wynthorpe gang. Autumn is already my favourite season, with its colours, scents, and changes in nature, but All Wrapped Up has added an extra sparkle.
I keep glancing at my own autumnal decorations and know that when I need a little boost, they’ll remind me of this story. I’ll feel the contentment, warmth, and love that Heidi Swain has wrapped so beautifully into these pages (sorry, just couldn’t resist!).
I always enjoy the stories Heidi Swain creates. All Wrapped Up is the perfect read to snuggle up with and lose yourself in as the autumn nights draw in. I guarantee you’ll be smiling long after the last page.
