Craft Club

Are you a crafter who finds yourself spending a lot of time alone?  Would you like to be part of a supportive community?  Do you live in Bournemouth or the surrounding areas?

Come and join me at Winton Park Café!

Myself and Paula run a craft club in the café where you can drop in and bring whatever craft you’re working on.  We do have some craft supplies stored at the café so if you just want to come along and get a taster and don’t have anything to bring with you, don’t worry, I’m sure we’ll be able to find you a suitable craft.

I can teach you how to crochet, Paula can teach you how to knit and members of the craft group can support you with other skills such as diamond art, embroidery, paper art etc.  You might have something you can teach us too!

It’s not just about the craft though … there’s plenty of laughter and friendships made.  If you’re going through a hard time in your life, we’re all very supportive and often, we can point you in the right direction to get help.  We celebrate special occasions like birthdays and happy events.  BUT if you just want to come along and be with others without chatting or making friends that’s fine too.  The only craft group rule I have is to be kind – you don’t have to socialise if you don’t want to.  And you don’t have to join in the celebrations either.  You will be accepted just as you are.

Winton Park Café is managed by The Parks Foundation. All profits from the community café are reinvested into parks so you can enjoy a cuppa knowing you’re supporting your local park.  Craft club members enjoy a 10% discount on purchases.
