Dark, disturbing and gripping. This is not for the faint of heart.

Nurse. Protégé. Murderer.

Marcus Gove has been all these things. He’s reached the pinnacle of his art and now it’s time for him to take a protégé. Lovely Lucy is perfect for the role, or she will be . . .

Artist. Teacher. Daughter.

Lucy Williams is just like everyone else. She’s had some success as an artist, not so much success in love, but she’s getting by. But soon she’s going to have to become something else if she wants to be a survivor.

Detective. Ex-husband. Underdog.

Ray Lewis’s career isn’t heading anywhere. But he’s a solid detective and he’s determined to find Lucy no matter what the upper brass throw at him.

Three people. Nineteen days. Who will live and who will die?

Book Review

Marcus Gove used to be a nurse. After having learnt lessons in murder from one of his patients he puts all the theory into practice, killing for fun. He’s addicted to the thrill of torturing and tormenting his victims and he has his sights set on artist Lucy who is just the woman he needs to satisfy his urges. She becomes a prize, his ultimate trophy but can he succeed in capturing her?

Lucy is unlucky in love and feels like the new job she’s been lured into is just the thing she needs. With the promise of thousands of pounds, she agrees to the commission offered to her (Gove in disguise) and falls into his deadly trap.

Roy is the detective who is determined to find Lucy. He’s cruising along in his career and this case provides a spark that can help him feel like he’s still got what it takes.

The Cellar is highly entertaining and incredibly dark and gruesome. Definitely not one for the feint of heart, it certainly kept my interest all the way through.

Marcus is sadistic and evil and I willed Lucy not to fall into his trap.

The story is very well written and a real page turner!

I was hooked and read and read as I couldn’t put it down, desperate for Lucy to be found.
