I love to source unique handcrafted gifts so when Jana Reinhardt jewellery got in touch to collaborate, you can imagine how excited I was! There are so many gorgeous pieces of jewellery and I felt a zing from the fact that all of their pieces are made using the old-fashioned method of fabrication and wax carving. Each piece of jewellery really is unique.
Jana Reinhardt pieces are about personality and craftsmanship. Their jewellery is aimed at people who care about quality and like things that are quirky and individual.
All of their jewellery is made in Worthing on the south coast of England by a small team of professional goldsmiths. Their suppliers and outworkers are all based exclusively in the UK.
As I mentioned in my introduction, their jewellery is made entirely by hand (top of the list for unique handcrafted gifts for someone special). They prefer not to use CAD/CAM(computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing). Minute imperfections are embraced. Each piece is unique, and that’s how they view their customers too … unique.

If you’re searching for unique handcrafted gifts or even a treat for yourself, Jana Reinhardt offer a bespoke jewellery design. There are 6 easy steps to follow for your perfect custom-made piece.
Contact Jana Reinhardt by phone +44 (0) 203 176 5544 or click HERE to send them an email and share your story with them.
They will start to put together designs for you. Unlike with many of their competitors their designs are entirely free of charge and they will keep working on them until you are happy. In the unlikely event that you’re not happy, then you are free to look elsewhere.
If stones are part of the design they will arrange a selection for you to choose from.
After you’ve agreed on a design, price and time frame, they will ask you for a 50% deposit.
If the production of your piece has many stages then they can intermittently send you pictures or invite you in to the studio. You can then be totally involved in every step of the process or you can take a back seat and wait for the finished piece.
They will contact you as soon as your bespoke jewellery is ready and send you high res pictures via email. If you’re happy, they’ll arrange collection or postage, whichever you prefer.
I love that you can visit the studio to be involved in the process.
If you follow me on my social media channels, you will know I love being out and about in nature and one of my favourite Jana pieces is the tiny hummingbird necklace.
Hummingbirds have a long history of folklore and symbolism. The Aztecs saw them as messengers between them and their ancestors or the gods. In Native American culture they’re seen as healers and bringers of love, good luck and joy. With their long, thin beaks, hummingbirds reach beyond the tough parts of a flower to reach the nectar within and this reminds us to seek out what is always good in life. 🙂 Jana Reinhardt are generously offering a giveaway of the silver tiny hummingbird necklace to one of my UK readers (value £89). I am so envious! It’s a piece to treasure. Click here to visit the Rafflecopter and enter.
Another piece of jewellery which could have been made just for me is the universe pendant with birthstones. Astrology has always fascinated me and before the days of software I studied astrology. Making calculations and drawing a chart by hand absorbed me for hours. Learning about the planets (both the facts and their astrological meanings) seeped into my dreams. It was a very Neptunian time in my life! I’ve loved the documentary TV series The Planets with Professor Brian Cox. Interestingly, facts we’re finding out now are things that astrologers have known about for years…
I think using a jewelled star to represent a special person in your life makes this piece of jewellery even more personal and unique. You can choose up to 10 birthstones with two different chain lengths and the option to have an engraving as well. Perfect!
Mass-production isn’t going away but do you think the trend is moving towards handcrafted and unique? Do you buy unique handcrafted gifts? I would love to know your thoughts.
