We’re delighted to be sharing Laura’s thoughts for The Ex-Girlfriend by Nicola Moriarty.
SHE WANTS HIM BACK. SHE WANTS YOU GONE.
Finally, Georgia has found the one. Luke is kind, handsome, and makes her feel safe – which is what she needs after everything she’s been through.
The only problem is his ex-girlfriend.
Luke says Cadence just can’t accept the breakup, and that explains the texts, the emails, the notes…
But then things start to go very wrong – will Cadence really do whatever it takes to get what she wants?
Fans of Lisa Jewell, Rachel Abbott and Adele Parks will love this gripping and twisty psychological suspense.
The Ex-Girlfriend by Nicola Moriarty is published by Penguin and is available to purchase in digital, paperback and audiobook formats.
Warning, The Ex-Girlfriend is an addictive read!
If I didn’t have a small child, I would have finished this book in one sitting as I found this psychological thriller well written. The change in plot I predicted however the motive and reasoning behind was a delightful surprise as I did not see it coming.
Georgia, stood up at the bar meets a friendly guy, Luke and they hit it off straight away. He is kind, caring and enjoys spending time with her. They get on so well she invites him to a family wedding after only a few months. Unfortunately, Luke carries baggage as still lives with ex-girlfriend, Cadence. Cadence is still obsessed with Luke and starts to stalk Georgia, leaving nasty notes and messages.
A great read which includes mental illness, self-harm and abusive relationships, which Nicola Moriarty deals with in a sensitive and realistic way.
Highly recommend for psychological thriller fans.
