All Fall Down by M J Arlidge is published by Orion and is available to purchase in digital, hardcover and audiobook formats.
“You have one hour to live.”
Those are the only words on the phone call. Then they hang up. Surely, a prank? A mistake? A wrong number? Anything but the chilling truth… That someone is watching, waiting, working to take your life in one hour.
The job of finding out falls to DI Helen Grace: a woman with a track record in hunting killers. However, this is A case where the killer seems to always be one step ahead of the police and the victims.
With no motive, no leads, no clues – nothing but pure fear – an hour can last a lifetime…
All Fall Down is a fast-paced crime novel and the next part of the DI Helen Grace series.
I am reviewing as a stand alone novel but as I have enjoyed it so much I would love to read more from this author.
Short chapters meant I raced through this book.
Based in Southampton where Detective Inspector Helen Grace works with her lover Joseph and heavily or pregnant Charlie. Justin Lanning a successful businessman receives a call stating he only has one hour to live. Not taking this seriously means Justin becomes the first victim in a new case for Helen.
Unfortunately for Helen, Justin was one of five teenagers abducted by Daniel King at his remote farmhouse during their Duke of Edinburgh award, 8 years ago. It looks as though King is back.
One of the victim’s Maxine Pryce has upset two of the others as she has written a memoir of their terrifying experience, including how Rachel, the only victim who was murdered by Daniel King.
This books contains lots of action, an unexpected twist and an exciting read throughout.
