You should know how I feel about stationery by now … and Mila & Pheebs is a company after my own heart.

Mila & Pheebs

Mila & Pheebs are obsessed with all things stationery – sparkly pens, new shiny paperclips, glossy stickers and the excitement of drawing on a fresh page of a brand new notebook. Not only that, add into the mix fun craft activities, card making and eraser collecting and you’ll understand why I think their stationery and activity boxes for kids are so awesome!

Alexis says:

As children we were obsessed, saving pocket money to buy pencil sharpeners instead of sweets, making craft cameras from toilet rolls and creating funny games from paper.

We figured if we loved crafts and stationery when we were small then there must be other children who love it just as much as us. However, we know how busy life can be for Mummies and Daddies these days so we wanted to make it as easy as possible to entertain the creative kids in your life and so Mila & Pheebs was born!

You don’t have to take my word for how awesome the boxes are.  I gifted a box and I’m sharing my recipient’s thoughts and photos for the Somewhere Over The Rainbow box.  First though, here’s more about the boxes.

You can choose from their monthly subscription options or buy a one-off box.  If you choose a one-off there are a few themes to choose from.  Not all boxes have craft activities.  Prices range from £6 – £10 (plus postage).  And some of the stationery themes are suitable for adults too!  I’m quite taken with the Polka Dot Stationery Box!

They also sell pens and pencils, pencil cases and accessories, notebooks and greetings cards, novelty erasers and novelty paperclips and bookmarks!

The boxes fit through letterboxes so you don’t have to wait in for your box to be delivered or have to go and collect it from your local depot.

Right from the beginning my recipient was so excited when her mum told her this was coming.  I also know that she couldn’t wait to get started on the activities and left everything out so that she could continue the next day.  She loved it!

Mum says:

  • The little individually wrapped packets were a nice idea.
  • It was good quality and good value for money as you would probably pay £1+ per item.
  • The creative activities were great, my daughter couldn’t wait to get started making the things.
  • Lots of different ideas and items and we liked the themes…
  • Each theme offers different items too so we will be buying more boxes and even giving them as gifts as we would normally spend £10 on presents.
  • The only slightly negative observation is that they say 6+ as recommended age but my daughter found the wordsearch too difficult without help. Maybe be a bit more age specific?

No better recommendation than that is there!

I received this lovely card (made from the items in the box) to say thank you.

I used to have craft boxes all over the place when my sons were young.  We would have loved the contents in a Mila & Pheebs box!  I think all of the boxes are great value for money and would make someone a lovely gift (as well as for your own little ones).  There is a Birthday edition coming soon too.

Do you craft with your children or grandchildren?
