It’s been quite a while since I read a Katie Fforde novel and an absolute age since I took time out to read during the day on a weekend so I was looking forward to snuggling up (or is it snuggling down?) and delving into these short stories.

It’s Christmas morning. The tree is decorated, the presents are wrapped and the turkey’s in the oven.

Outside the first flakes of snow are beginning to fall.

AND HERE IT IS!

A personal present from Katie Fforde: six NEW perfectly themed seasonal short stories, guaranteed to make this your happiest Christmas ever!

My intention was to dip in and out of the six short stories, however, I found myself turning those pages and … turning those pages.  My favourite has to be otherworldly A Dream Christmas.  Here’s a few snippets of what each one is about:

The Christmas Stocking – for Romy and Felix a chance encounter changes their futures.

A Dream Christmas – Ginny and Ben get something completely different to what they were expecting from their honeymoon.

Candlelight at Christmas – a heartwarming tale of family, friends and neighbours getting together to celebrate the season.

Dogs are for Christmas –  life changing decisions helped by two exuberant pups.

A Christmas in Disguise – A subterfuge … with a twist!

The Christmas Fairy – Out of work actor Ella brings sparkle to one family’s lives but who helps her find her HEA?

I often find with short stories that it’s difficult to get an emotional link with characters.  These shorts are full of warmth and sparkle and I wanted the best for them all.  Recommended whether you are short on time and want to dip in and out or if you’re like me, read them back-to-back.  They will certainly get you into the festive spirit and remind you what this season is all about.  Don’t forget you also get a sneak peek into Katie Fforde’s new novel, A Country Estate, publishing in February 2018.
