Book Review

You Don’t Need Therapy book is a fascinating and enlightening read. I thoroughly enjoyed the positive quotes shared throughout this book.

Alan Lucas syso system includes 70 exercises to promote your own mental health and well-being.

I have already shared one of the breathing exercises with a group of children. They were impressed by how many breaths we all take per day.

Another of the exercises I have previously talked about before reading this with my young son and feel is very important whenever we walk anywhere. We smile and say good morning or wave and smile to people driving if they have kindly stopped for us. I love to see my son’s reaction to this very simple act of kindness. In the book this is described as the ripple effect and it’s lovely to think how far our smile has reached each day.

Especially with this year I feel this book is empowering to remember that we are solely responsible for our emotions and that this control is important to master for a happier life.

I can see myself wanting to use these activities for a long time as I already feel happier after reading this book.

I know the syso system will continue to enhance my skills of controlling negative feelings, especially for prolonged periods of time.

I loved this book.
