Giveaway | Handmade crochet Kindle/tablet sleeve and book sleeve

Some time ago I picked up my crochet hook again and experimented with a simple design for a Kindle/tablet sleeve.

I found it so therapeutic that I decided to buy some wool and see how a book sleeve would work out.

As with most crafty things with me, when there’s a time constraint it’s the first thing that gets put down (often to never see the light of day again!).  However, I’m having a new desk delivered and while having a clear out in preparation, I came across two Kindle/tablet sleeves and two book sleeves that were almost finished!  I’d bought the buttons but not sewn them on … until last weekend.

I’ve decided to offer them in a giveaway.  Being handmade they’re not perfect.  I didn’t crochet to a pattern.  Having made a rough measurement of the width, I then worked each sleeve in rounds (so there’s no seams), using single and double stitches.  The Kindle/tablet sleeve is more for decoration that protection and the book sleeve will keep your current read snug in your bag, perhaps while you travel.  Of course they were made with love 🙂

Here’s a short video I made:
