I’m often browsing on Emma Bridgewater (lusting after some bowls at the moment – remember the Wallflower pattern released last Spring?  say no more …) and these new ½ pint mugs caught my eye.

I love the title of this collection ‘Cities of Dreams’ and my imagination was sparked by the sub text:

They met in Oxford, he took her to Paris, got engaged in Venice and lived in London.

I was also reminded of the I Heart books by Lindsey Kelk!

The mugs are dishwasher & microwave safe. Emma Bridgewater recommend a lower temperature wash and liquid detergent to maintain appearance. They’re made from English Earthenware in Stoke-on-Trent, UK.   Emma Bridgewater deliver outside of the UK too – here’s their postal rates:

These would make a lovely gift no matter the time of year.  You could make it even more interesting by filling the mug with something that means a lot to your recipient.  With Easter coming up, maybe even an alternative to an Easter basket for a special adult in your life?  You could let your imagination run wild filling them with alternatives to chocolate (but chocolate works too!).
