Sunsets in the UK to take your breath away

The ‘upside down’ cottage that we stayed in at Lympstone during our summer break had a balcony leading from the upstairs lounge.

We had amazing views across the Exe Estuary to Starcross Sailing School and Powderham Castle.

We had glorious weather during a few of the days (and very mild evenings).

The cloudy evenings meant that we got to witness sunsets on the Exe estuary that took our breath away.

Consequently, we took LOADS of photos (some from the same vantage point!) so for this post I am going to choose some of my favourites and share them.

These were taken on my mobile and although adequate, when you see the ones which were taken with a camera, you’ll notice the difference!

We also had some clear nights too and with very little light pollution, saw a myriad of stars.  Living in a built up area, you forget just how beautiful it is when you look up!
