How does Jera’s Jamboree collect information?

If you communicate with us via our website, email or social media pages, or sign up for newsletters or enter giveaways, we may collect personal data about you.

What information do we collect, how is it used and how long do we keep it for?

Website:

When you visit Jera’s Jamboree you have the option to consent, do not consent and manage options in relation to your personal data.  We use consent to track how you found the website (search in your browser and clicking on a link, a Pinterest pin, a link shared on social media, via our newsletter or directed to us by another website).  This information is used to  find out the pages you visit, how long you stay on a page, if you click to view other pages on the website.  No other information is collected.

Jera’s Jamboree E-Newsletter:

When you sign up for our e-newsletter, either on the website or via a giveaway or promotion, we collect your name and email address. We will request your consent to send you the e-newsletter at the point of your subscription via Substack.

You can stop receiving  the e-newsletter in the following ways:

  • Click the ‘unsubscribe’ link at the bottom of any email you receive
  • By email, quoting “Unsubscribe” in the subject and send to shaz-goodwin@jerasjamboree.co.uk

Your name and email address is retained for only as long as you remain subscribed (i.e. you do not unsubscribe) or if we decide to cancel the e-newsletter service, whichever occurs first.

Giveaways:

When you enter a giveaway that is managed by Jera’s Jamboree, either through our website or via social media, we collect your name and email address. We also collect your IP address (please see our Cookie Policy). We will use this personal data to contact you, only if you win the giveaway.

If the giveaway is not managed by Jera’s Jamboree, the third party is responsible for the terms and conditions of your entry.  The terms and conditions are displayed on all posts not managed by Jera’s Jamboree.

If you are a winner of a sponsored giveaway, your personal data will be shared with the sponsor of the giveaway so that they are able to post out the item in the giveaway to you.  Actions done to enter the giveaways will also be shared with the sponsor of the giveaway to verify.

We will retain the information for the duration of the giveaway only.

Comments:

When you comment on a post, we collect your name and email address.  This enables the filter of spam comments and is not used for any other purpose.

Verifying your identity

When you exercise one of your rights under the GDPR, we are required by law to use all reasonable measures to verify your identity before we can action the request. This will be in the form of supplying a utility bill and photographic evidence such as passport or driving licence.
