#MySundayPhoto | Wow Days

I loved taking part in Year 5’s WOW day last week!  As part of the introduction to their new topic of forces they were set the challenge of creating a marble loop the loop.  Classes were mixed up so the children were working with children they hadn’t necessarily worked with before.  The children had to choose the materials and how they would be used in their designs.

The Inclusion team were asked to judge best teamwork and best design so armed with notepads, a colleague and myself spent time in each classroom taking note of the groups working collaboratively and later on in the morning, down to the hall while their designs were tested.

Wow Day

On QPA blog – I almost had a moment of fame!

The children were really supportive of each other (no matter the groups they were in) and positive about all the loop the loops.  It was fun (for all of us!) and we were so impressed by the year group’s maturity.  A great day where lots of learning was taking place 🙂

Married with two sons in their early 20’s, I love my day job as an Inclusion Lead. I am passionate about early help, expressed not only in my setting but also as a member of Bournemouth’s Early Help Operational Board. It’s an honour to be working alongside others to instigate change and growth.

I’m also passionate about my love of reading, being out in nature and creating with crochet.

I’ve been blogging for seven years at Jera’s Jamboree.
