As The Season Turns ~ inspiration from the autumnal palette

I’ve posted a couple of photos on Instagram lately of some gorgeous autumnal colours in nature.  I thought I would share a few more here (plus unexpected grazers!)

Saturday 12th September 2015 (Kinson Common SSSI)

The cattle pen on Kinson Common hasn’t been used for quite some time …

But on our circuit coming back, there were quiet a few cow pats so we knew there must be cows somewhere.  Taz was going wild too (just look at his eyes) and he was on red alert!

Behind a steepish incline where the land is flat we saw two …

And on the way back, something else white too!

The stream looked so inviting (it was a warm day) and there was a pearlescent shimmer as the sun caught the water.

Sunday 13th September 2015 (River Stour)

It felt warm over the weekend although nature is showing that autumn has arrived!  The stream and the river were really low.  I haven’t seen it that low for a long, long time.

What makes your heart sing in this season?

Married with two sons in their early 20’s, I love my day job as an Inclusion Lead. I am passionate about early help, expressed not only in my setting but also as a member of Bournemouth’s Early Help Operational Board. It’s an honour to be working alongside others to instigate change and growth.

I’m also passionate about my love of reading, being out in nature and creating with crochet.

I’ve been blogging for seven years at Jera’s Jamboree.
