Release - a poem about Letting Go

RELEASE

Connected, bound
The rope is thick
Release will not be
Very quick

The ties are strong
Have served their use
The time has come
They must be loose
Into darkness
Into pain
My inner work
Is not in vain

Spiralling, round
The rope let go
Now it is time
For life to flow

The love is there
But not fierce
Gentle, warm
It does not pierce

Release, unbound
No rope holds
Love flows freely
Gently in its folds.
